I hear what you are saying, CE. But I will tell you.....it was a beautiful city and a great place to grow up in the 40' & 50's.
its an original...i dont buy 'repos'....theres NO money in them well someday you'll have to come visit the land where you were born CE/CP...dude....my house is about 4 ashtrays from being on HOARDERS Im actually thinking about building a 'online' store and selling stuff...its outa control:banana: I went to the BIG 2day car swap meet this weekend...and came home with lighting...and a BAR !!....LOL
I'm in the same boat! I just brought home another vintage Hi-Fi, about 6 feet and 200 lbs. It was a trip to lug it up the stairs by myself.
Stuff We just don't have the room anymore to collect things. I've always wanted my special room in the house for collectables and another in the garage for old parts like Flat Head heads, intakes, signs, etc. My garage is overcrowded with things we took off cars and need to put back on. Good luck on your collection. We've been to the Dells and also Portage many times. But been at least 10-12 years now. Loved House on Rock. Circus Mueseum, and train museums. Also that car museum at the Dells. Remember when all of that was really about the Dells and the boat rides. Now many people never see the Wisc. River.
I am actually hopefully buying a house in Portage, so I will have much more room for the collection. My house is plum full. There is so much to see in the Dells these days! My folks have a house on the Wisconsin River and it's about the only time I pay the river much mind. I drive over it all the time lol
Rivers We live a mile walk thru the game preserve to the Suwannee River. About five to drive over it or stop at the roadside park. All I know is we use a bridge so I guess the water is still there. It's odd, when we live near something we don't pay any attention to it. However in the past week since joining this forum I have been noticing more station wagons around here. Never payed any attention to them before.
I love when I see another wagon rolling about. I saw a Pontiac Parisienne and a Pontiac 6000 wagon, as well as a Roadmaster today.
