Cool Ride! I like those convetion vans from the era. Congrats ...tryed to find one short wheel bace for my honey back in 99...but back in the day a "shorty" was as rare as hens teeth out here used, ride that is(hell even new)....I ended up buying a new Saffari Mini van new instead.
Same here but I like the LWB version has plenty of room. I plan to get my son to help build me a bed in the back.
I have already gotten rid of the rear tire carrier, since it put a great big dent and a slight warp age. a Little at a time will be done on it. I have Caddy taillights to replace the factory lights.
What was that commercial? Respect the van ! I like the van ! Take care of that back also and I know it is probably hard for you (Just assuming since you're a car guy) to listen to the Doc about the bed rest they tell you, you need but it is for the best!
Had a '84 Chevy Van 20 conversion very similar to that one, except without the raised roof. Rented a travel trailer and took a nice vacation with it, seeing the Grand Canyon, Utah points between. Had the 305 IIRC, but I must have got lucky and got a good one, because it ran prettly good. Made a great 'Limo' going to Vegas, too......
I am doing what the Dr says to do,unfortunately this not my first go round with my back since '91. I can say this has been the worst of it I did have a knot in my lower back from surgery that has disappeared and they can not find any evidence of it which is really strange.
Been looking for some vintage parts for my van. I already have plans on getting rid of the big windows.
