ok ill start off by posting this one AMX Wagon Concept........ hopefully others will post concepts they found and make this a good thread !!!
Hummm. Put a Javelin front end on a Hornet Sportabout and you'll almost have the concept. I'll take two.
1966 Ford Magic Cruiser. Text I found says it was built for Ford by Barris Customs. I'm not so sure. The idea behind this one is that you had a 'fastback' for ordinary driving, then when you needed more cargo room, you pressed a button and the 'fastback' part of the roof lifted into a horizontal position. I saw this vehicle at the LA Auto Show in 1966. (Oct.,1965 actually..)
Remember that link a few days ago showing that Euro Ford wagon that wastricked out like a Subie Outback? This 1997 Ford Santa Fe, based on a Taurus wagon, is a lot like that aswell. It's got the SHO V8 in it.....
Studebaker Skyview - prototype for the 'next generation' of Studebaker wagons, that never made it to production. Too bad....
if i could ever find one of these i would pay so much money for one because im absolutly in LOVE with the styling of this :2_thumbs_up_-_anima
This and few other Studes that never made it were designed so doors could swap from side to side.....Drivers door would bolt onto passenger side rear door etc, yes it was a suicide door car.. Saves alot of $$ when it comes to tooling.
that was like the amc cavalier concept, its not a wagon but the front and rear side panels were interchangeable. if you want look it up its pretty cool looking too
