So I have been after this wagon since 2001ish. It had belonged to a buddy of mine that is really into '60s, '70s, and '80s Buicks and Pontiacs. Hes got Gran Nationals, Gran Sports, and some really fine examples of GMs finest. I have always had a soft spot for the A body GM cars from the '70s. My mom had a '77 black Monte Carlo when I was a kid growing up in the '80s. I really belive that is where my passion really took off because of that car. Everything from the sound of the duels, to the 8 track, and down to that flowing fender look the A bodies had.

This is a 1973 Buick Century with 160k miles, nothing has been rebuilt other than a cheep respray of the body in the '80s and some seat covers. The paint work is faded, a passenger side door is primer from some yuck hitting the car in the late '80s. The good thing out of that, it is a Calif door and car, so other than the a hole in the pass floor from a leaking window, the car is pretty solid. I do want to keep this as close as stock as I can. I know the wheel covers are from 1974 on up but that is all I have in my GM wheel cover collection.

Also I will be looking for the correct year steering wheel and pulling that '80s tape deck out. Overall it is a solid car, burns a little oil, and leaks a bit of everything. But she is all there and operating!

Wes went nuts when he saw the new wagon pull up.......excited and curious. Just spent about 15-20 minutes sniffing and looking at it. :disagree:

She is powered by a Buick 350 with the 2bbl carb. I hate to touch it, since it is dialed in and runs so strong. But if she decides to give me trouble, out goes the 2bbl and in goes a 4bbl. Just don't know what one just yet.

HA HA HA HA, yes Tireman, I say the same thing too. I tell my friends "Clark is gona leave some love behind, hes marking his territory with some oil for you". I get a dumb look. HA HA HA!

Very nice Buford you have there! I like that period of GM mid-size styling from '73 - '77. That "Colonnade" style sold very well across all of the GM lines. Nice ride!

Hey I really like the steering wheel, and it and the 1/4 decals are actually correct for a 73 Century GS Coupe...neat to see those on a wagon!

You should look for a set of chrome Buick "Road Wheels" for it. Those would really look good on that car. With new wheels and a paint job that car will really stand out. It's hard to find those not all rusted out, even here in Texas.

Good luck and keep the pics coming please!
