Are you NUTS! A BLACK wood delete Roadie and you can't sell it??
How much is the going price with this guy? Is the car junk? You always talk like you hate it and that you are going to sell it BUT is the car right? I asked for pix ages ago. You of all people know the drill here on pix. I can sure tell you what NOT to do!

    EDIT:
And...I've heard this story before from derby guys......tell me, please.......how do you take all the parts off the car and then derby it??? Put peddles on it and sit on the frame???

I think you already know the answer or you wouldn't be asking the question. We can't settle that uneasy feeling in your tum tum, you have too. There is a fool proof way to make this dicision...if someone else came on here and asked this question how would you answer...quick first response...there's your answer.
It may take a while for that right buyer to come along because as you already know these exceptional cars are only desired by a few. Plus winter in Canada is not the best time to sell a car. If you NEED to sell asap then you have to do what you have to do but if not...I'd repost your ads...spice it up...see what happens. IMO :)

OH YEAH...."where a monkey hides his nuts" :)?

It would make it much easier if you didn't know what he was going to do with it.I feel for you with this dilema. If you can hang in I'm sure the right buyer will come along.

Delema for sure when you (Rev) like us are true car buffs. I also can't believe you havn't sold it....I seem to remember a you posted a couple F****** CRAPY pis of it once:biglaugh:, looked nice IMO. Although....
    ................................the pics were:lolup:...JK Bud:D(y)

Touph call bud, I know I would be in the same delema.

In general I don't understand the derby guys today. In my teens it was different around here anyways, the cars were allwready junk, smashed, never taken care of, those were the dirby cars. Today it's much different.

I uploded these pics from Used Victoria a long time ago, it was advertized as a dirby car for real cheep, under $400 with siezed motor. I got a 180 degree from the seller! Once I said I'd like it for a parts car the seller was not intrested, nor was he willing to sell ANY parts......????? He would only sell to the dirby croud.

Then there was a guy from Victoria that joined the forum with another Buick, who wouldn't return emails or PM's and even posted here he would crush the car for scrap and not even sell a freeken part!

Man, that is a bit of a conundrum. I sorta had the same issue in 2008, when the insurance company brought back my '77 Country Squire. The frame was bent (could not tell from looking at it), it also popped holes in the frame from rot. Every panel was dented and pushed in, the interior was beat to a pulp from stuff bouncing around while the wagon bobbed up and down on the trailer. Even the bumpers had been pushed in and the transmission housing was cracked.

She was a car I brought back from the dead. But there is a point in time where it just dose not make sense to keep something, at she was gone by that point. I had to do it, I parted her out for myself and sold it...........(cringe)...........to a derby guy. My heart did not want to but it was the best option for the time. I did see my '77 in action, she won her division. Just like how she was when I restored her in college, she never gave up the ghost.

A black, wood delete, Roady is probably the most sought after out there.:yup: I know selling from Canada is likely more difficult because people in the USA don't know what to expect at the border, but....did you advertise on CL?....eBay?....impalass forum classified?....GMlongroof forum classified? Yes....it is WAY far for me to travel, but, I have racked my brain to find some way to get that car from you. I would love to have it. And I know there are MANY others out there that would love to have it, too. They just don't KNOW about it.
    And....as for the pix.............I refer to Fat Tedy's post.:rofl2:

Rev, Black wood delete Roadys are pretty sought after. Granted the LT1 cars bring a bigger crowd, but there are some TBI fans around. I'd put it up on the Impala SS, of the GM Longroof site. I haven't seen any pics of it for sale on this forum, are there any? If so, there are a few of us on here that are also on the other sites, I'm sure one of us would link it for you. I can't see you selling a WB4 to a derby clown. In the crowd of B body wagon people, a black WB4 is considered to be the brass ring of wagons, with DCM WB4 (dark cherry metallic) a close 2nd. Please, please, please give the forums that are dedicated to these cars a shot before selling the car to someone that will smash it all up. Remember all the stink that was made when Fred (Wagonfest pioneer) smashed up that Pontiac 6000 wagon at Wagonfest a few years ago. Give the B body faithful a chance Rev, then do what you want/need to do.

So lets see some pics of this thing already, and I mean a bunch, top to bottom.

    Sincerely,
    Mike

Geeze, Rev....more and better pix in & out?? A description....miles, rust, etc? You said, at one time that it had a bad cylinder but then thought you were wrong and solved the running problem....is that correct? It now runs perfect? Is it drivable for 3000 miles? C'mon....give us something here.
