Those so called "automotive reporters" have been regurgitating out that same lame wagons are dead story for the past 30 years with a few updates to make it fit the time. Links to a wagon site that's been dead for years instead of here?:confused: What a deep researcher.
He did have a couple really cool looking pics in his article though.......59 Country Squire and the Nash Rambler especially .
The article was rather reverent I thought. The title was the worst part about it. Well, and a few other things. He says, "....So what happened? Obviously SUVs dealt wagons a glancing blow and, around the same time, Chrysler’s minivans swooped in for the kill...." Huh?:confused: I think he means the other way around. Two things he also seems ignorant of is that these days, new wagons seem to come out just about every year. There are not that many of course, but they are there. They just go overseas!!! Here in America, though we must more and more merely gaze longingly on the web at car makers who want to keep shoving SUVs and the dreaded crossovers down our throats. I must also take him to task about stationwagon.com. It did not go inactive because station wagons suddenly lost popularity. As I remember, and correct me if I am wrong, but it stopped being updated because the creator (Was it Steve....?) just did not have the time to keep it up. I had not been to Tom and Ray's site before. I wonder if they editorially agree with all their columnists.

Ain't that the truth of it! Especially the big-a$$ed wagons, where you can lay in a load of 4X8 sheets or a dingy or raft or camping gear or boat motor (if your name is Noah, these days )
