Hilarious video. Racing in reverse and having ramps to jump in the middle of the track. Slollum racing towing campers. Saw a bunch of big American cars getting torn up right along side the Dafs and other small cars.

I'm not sure I can come up with wagons as obscure as the last few, but I'll try.
Heres one. I can't read the emblems in the photo, but maybe someone else here can and then this one would be real easy.
I like how the side trim incorporates the door handles like on a 61 T-Bird. I couldn't post a picture of the rear as the name in big block letters appears across the tailgate. But the tail lights do look quite similar to those of a 59 Chevy.

Okay, maybe I'm giving too much info too soon, but for a bit of trivia that might be helpful, shortly after the wagon in question was made, the manufacturer merged with another more well known manufacturer. A manufacturer who made the wagon shown here in the early 50's.

Where are guys coming up with these wagons?
I thought I had seen everything...
That new one looks like it has bits of Corvair and Falcon in it.
    I'm thinking South America......

If it's not South American, could it be Japanese (Toyota maybe)

You know I'm quite sure it was made between 1959 and 1970, by a Company with a name starting with a letter between B and Y :dancing:

I am guessing it is a Prince. I can't find any pics of that very pretty line of cars anywhere, but I find the other, older examples. Prince merged with Nissan in 1966.

    Found that on flickr

"A 1965 Prince Gloria on the side of the road, for sale, In Matamata, New Zealand.
Very few of these left now! The Prince company was bought out by the Nissan company in the sixties. Prince built the first Skylines, which Nissan kept up as a model name. Prince cars were among the first Japanese cars marketed in New Zealand. This one was sold new by Croydon Motors of Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand."

The model name is Gloria, and gloria is for :1st: David !

Could someone confirm if they were built in Japan or in New Zealand ?
    I keep looking...

    Edit:
Prince Motor Company... was a Japanese car maker

Yes. Thats right a Prince Gloria. You and Barto are both correct. Prince merged with Nissan in the mid 60's. The Gloria model name carried on as a Nissan when the model was restyled for the 67-71 model years. So the replacement was the Nissan Gloria below(which looks alot like a 66-67 Ford Fairlane wagon to me).

The Prince Skyline was the name of the 57 and 59 wagons posted, and the little 1950 woody wagon is of course a Datsun.
David, you were first so now you're up.

I found that photo of the gold Prince Gloria wagon here. You can see a rear view of the gold wagon on the same page.

I can't believe how beautifully styled and detailed this little wagon is!
Most of the Japanese cars of the '60's look awkward and quite ugly, but this? Wow!
It is lovely from any angle. Even the name is pretty. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Back then, Japanese automakers were adept copiers, but they managed to make a better looking car than the originals...Falcon/Corvair/F-85.

    I will come up with a brain-teaser soon. (y)

I don't know if it's better looking than the US vehicles its design was influenced by, but at least it appears some thought was put into the design. Has noticeably more 'flair' than some of the other Dataun and Toyota vehicles of that period.
