Not every shot has a wagon in it, bit I thought I'd post them together because it shows the progression of what they are doing.

From what I can tell they must be shooting a promo for the soon to be realeased car (which I believe is a 56 Lincoln)

O M G ! Flashback! That picture was taken in May of 1980, and that's not snow or dirt! That's Mt St. Helens ash! Glad to see my brother and i were not the only ones out destroying cars paint by wiping the ash off instead of rinsing DOH!

Wagon related story of the time, we gad a '78 impala wagon. With all the ash, Dad speculated we might need a new airfilter. I remember pulling off the lid to find we had been driving around in the ash clouds with NO AIRFILTER!!

Another coincidence, our wagon was the same color as the one in the picture! But that appears to be a caprice.

    I love my car because:
it was new in 1976 when my beloved uncle died leaving it to me in his will. Since then it has carried my family in safety, comfort and style, and still has traveled only 97,000 miles!

Actually I believe this Falcon is from Argentina. In the mid 70's the Falcon in Argentina still looked almost identical to the US 1963 Falcon Futura down to the grille and wheel covers. Only the side trim differed a little. After that, the same 63 Falcon body recieved new front end sheet metal and grille and more rectangular tail lights. I never noticed the lift up door handles when I saw a couple of these Falcons when they were brand new at the service department of Koons Ford in Falls Church, Virginia. I don't have any idea how or why the two South American Falcons ended up in Virginia together, and I haven't seen them since the early 80's.
Looking at this wagon, it appears that, like the early Australian Falcon wagons, they had a shorter rear overhang than their US counterparts.
