Wow your right what a great voice. Animation too...like the genie on Aladin or the beast on the Beauty and the Beast.
I don't think he's homeless anymore. NFL, NBA and one news station have all offered him jobs. Being sober for 2 years helps. Wonderful voice I agree.
A wise man said one time that "GOOD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE" Have any of you noticed in all the interviews with this guy that he can't get the smile off hiz face? Good on Him
You sure can't judge a book by it's cover. I wonder how many folks passed him by without another thought. Big thanks to the reporter who posted himon line in the first place...he say through the rough exterior
And he had the confidence to promote himself with a chunk of cardboard on a street corner. He deserves that break! Loved the story.
I did a radio show from my Cincinnati offices. I have a radio voice but this guy has major pipes! He's from the old school and has the pipes along with it. Nice guy, too. I have been following the story. He suddenly has so many offers that he doesn't know which one to take.
He does seem very sincere. His instant humble when he talks about his past shows it. At work I saw a vidio of his (Youtube) with a interview with his mother. This man was in the military, seeming to do well for his future and something, who knows what happened. If he is clean for 2 years like he says I wish this guy HUGE success!
what a crock of crap.... I can only imagine how many talented/experienced actual Voiceover/Radio Jocks are sitting around wondering ....WTH?????? Whats next??? crackhead hookers with a face like they been chasing parked cars ....but hey....great body !!!....she'll be on the cover of Sports Illustrated next month !!!
Maybe it's because he's signed a contract and has a job and they don't want his pervious image formost in the mind of consumers? Some of us can have a short attention span. Out of sight, out of mind. What ever the reason I'm glad he's working. Not enough people get a second chance.
I have to agree with you. I hear stories about people who turned their lives around from drugs, alcohol or crime and they are applauded. I'm happy for them but what about the guy/gal who stayed away from drugs and alcohol, never committed a crime in their life, didn't abandon their family, went to school for years, and started at the bottom and trying to crawl their way up?
