I got a driving wagon. If you can call it awagon. The registration says it is a stationwagon. I got a 2003 Toyota Matrix, There is not much cargo space. My Taurus car has more trunk space than this Matrix. I was able to put 2 tires in the back of the Matrix. A 3rd will squeeze in, but no room for anything else. The taurus would take 3 and 3/4 tires and rims in the trunk. Oh well I can't be choosy. The car was given to me free from a relative who came upon cash that they bought a new car. I have some TLC to do to it yet. Change tires to snow tires. Fix block heater cord. May have to replace negative battery cables due they been changed to something that works for an old Boom box stereo. Looks like bad grounds in places of this cable. It should be cheaper on fuel for comuting with. Has lots of head and leg room. The downside is I'm up against the drivers door which pushes me sideways when driving. Does not have elbow room that way. I will get use to it. My idea of a wagon is still the old cars that you open an endgate and have your lunch/picnic on it or you could slide in a full sheet of llumber with the back seat folded down. Now that was a wagon. It has these newer ones and SUV's beat by far.
Yeah, in some places they call the Matrix (and its Pontiac cohort, the Vibe) a wagon, but they're really a 5-door hatch. Canadian question. What are these vehicles called in Canada?
3 and 3/4 tires..???.....let me guess, you come from a typical Canadian family with 2.4 kids too? Nothing wrong with free:2_thumbs_up_-_anima. I would'nt have my Buick if it was'nt for free (thanx Suzie). Intersting looking little things, I did'nt know what the heck they were till I searched. Soooooo, lets see a pic of yours!
Give me some time here. I have no pics yet. It is Lt blue in color. The little beast has 16 in tires. The doors are big and roomy and makes easier room for your older family members to get in the car. You know the family that has problems with their legs for bending. It does lack cargo space. But it will be my commutor car. I will get pictures this weekend. Right now I go to work in the dark and come home just as it is getting dark. So weekend will be best. Sorry for the wait guys. Plus I will have to learn how to insert pics in the forum here.
You alwready know how to insert pics..... http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/gallery/browseimages.php?do=member&imageuser=2291
I don't think 26in wheels would fit. I like to keep it family car. I'm getting old and decrepied here. Sore back, bad knees, arthritis in the shoulders. I lived a life of bull work and now paying for it at 50.
