Although i love the -70ies buicks, i would like to have a more modern car to ride around with the dogs....

A sharp black, no wood, grey fabric fully loaded LT1 roadmaster at affordable money in the south of US, preferrably florida..
Am i looking for a custom car, or can there be someone riding around in my dreamcar, ready to sell? Here in sweden every stw has wood, and leather, and the LT,s are EXPENSIVE here..

LT1s are common here. I have one in my garage that I took out of my SS. spun bearing @ 185k miles because I inadvertently wound it to about 6500 rpm. I replaced it with a better one so I wasn't too sad. If I wasn't so lazy (and I am so please don't force me) I'd give it to you just so I could have a cool story about it being in some Scandinavian (notice I didn't generalize you as "euro dude") dudes wagon!

Here is it's replacement and what I put it in...MY dream car. Sorry it isn't a wagon.

:rofl2: Thats my kind of guy!! And if you change your mind, i´ll be glad to send you a check, and have some UPS guys do the hard labour for us.. Is it possible to mate a LT with a LE460 gearbox from a older GM-car?

The LT1 is bolted to a 4L60E in the Cappy and Roadie.

Thats sweet!! I get my mind working on building my car as i want it now... Its no big deal getting a hold of a beat up caprice with a 305 engine affordable.. And it might even got a tweed interior if i am lucky, then add a LT1 engine, and a SSfront or a Buick dito and i am home free!! But it would be nice to for once, NOT building, just buying the car i want...

The older Cappy has a 2004R tranny. Up to 91....then the 4L60E.

Don't confuse the old TH200 with the 2004R OD tranny, 2low. The old TH200 was junk and the 2004R is a nice OD tranny that can be built to withstand 800 horses.

Being a little more particular, the 700R4 was used in '80s 9C1s with the LM1 350. In '91-'93 all used the 700R4, and then '94-'96 the electric version the 4l60E.

2low mentioned the 80's 305 (307) wagon which had the 2004R as did the Olds and Buick wagons. To my knowledge, there were no 350 wagons. I could be wrong but I have built the 80's box wagons and have never seen the 350 in one unless it was a transplant.

Okey! Thanks for the info about the powerplants.. The cars in sweden that i mentioned are the last generation. Not the boxy ones.. But didnt they come from factory with 5.7 engines? The years from -77 to -90? I tried once to get my boss to rebuild a th200-4 for me, but he refused, and made me part out an old van for its th700 and rebuild that instead.. For half the money, according to him.. On the other hand i quit that job a couple of days ago......

Now that i got your interest up, did all the _91-up non LT cars run 305, or 307 engines? And were all of them TBI injected?

My friend has a black 94 ImpalaSS station wagon. He's been talking about selling it. I think it has less than 100,000 miles on it. Really beautiful car, tinted windows and tan leather interior. I think he was asking $6500-$7000.

Extremely over priced by American standards, but I'd imagine it is in line with imports over there. Also there is no such thing as an Impala SS wagon. Caprice, Roadmaster, Custom Cruiser, that's it. I realize some people call theirs an SS but that would be like me calling my SS a Caprice just because I have a custom grill, and a bowtie on my trunk...But then I HAVE been known to refer to my SS as a Caprice WX3 so I may be guilty of stupidity at times.
