    I recognize this is the Holland Tunnel enterance at Canal Street in Manhattan connecting with 12th and 14th streets in Jersey City, New Jersey.

    The site sure brought back a ton of memories about our drag racing days.

    The truck in pic #166 is our buddy's truck. He and another bud are down there right now enjoying the heck out of themselves. When I phoned them yesterday to see how the trip was going all I could hear was the races for a few moments. I am so jealous..................

    That '40 Ford truck was originally built by Bob McCoy in the early sixties. He is the fellow who also built a '40 Ford tudor with flames that was on the cover of several mags in the '57 time frame and really set the look for a flamed 40's Ford. Our friend is a real hot rod history buff and snapped this one up when it came up for sale. He'd been talking 49 to 51 Ford woody wagon but when this little truck hit the market he snapped it up within an hour or so of it showing up on CL.
