History: This car was purchased in September 1988 at Pacifico Ford Fleet Sales in Philadelphia, PA, so we are the original and only owners. It was a special order because it had no “country squire” wood grain sides, and also had the new Light Crystal Blue Metallic paint for 1989. As my wife’s daily driver from 1988 - 2004, it took both children to and from school and various errands and work requirements for my wife and family in: Rhode Island, Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington, Maryland, and Washington, DC. It has been up and down the east coast innumerable times including trips to Buffalo, NY, and back and forth across the country to Washington State. It carried Pennsylvania registration until my retirement from the Navy when it received its Virginia registration. It became my oldest daughter’s car to use from 1998 – 2004 when she received her own car; and then my youngest daughter drove it from 2004 – 2008 when she also received her own car. The engine was replaced in at Crystal Ford in Maryland in 1993 under Ford’s extended warranty, and the transmission was replaced with a Jasper Professional Transmission in 1999. It was repainted at Martin’s Auto Body on Potter Road, Virginia Beach in 2005. It received antique registration plates in Virginia in 2014.
